NSF Student Travel Grant for IEEE SMARTCOMP 2019
(For US-based Students ONLY)
The 5th IEEE International Conference on Smart Computing (SMARTCOMP 2019) (www.smart-comp.org) to be held in Washington, DC on June 12-14, 2018 is pleased to providing competitive travel grants for US based students to attend SMARTCOMP 2019 conference and all co-located events such as Workshops, Ph.D. Forum, Work-in-Progress, Poster and Demo sessions.

Exceptional undergraduate students engaged in research (e.g., NSF REU students), MS research and PhD students, and beginning post-doctoral students will be given full consideration. Acceptance of a paper in the main conference, workshops or associated events is not a requirement for applying. Preferences will be given to those applications who may not be able to attend the conference otherwise. To be eligible for NSF travel grant, US-based students (referred to as “you”) must apply by Tuesday, May 14, 2019 via EasyChair.
Eligible students applying for NSF student travel grant will also be expected to participate in the Poster Session combined with the Ph.D. Forum. Instructions on how to submit two-page abstract for Ph.D. Forum are available here.
How to Apply:
Please note that IEEE SMARTCOMP conference may not be able to reimburse all of your travel expenses due to the limited budget. Eligible expenses for reimbursement include advance student registration fee, hotel, and transportation (economy airfare, bus or train). Expenses that are not eligible for reimbursement include regular and/or on-site registration, taxi and meals. Student travel grants are available in the form of reimbursements that are sent only after the completion of the conference and receipt of all required documentation and receipts.
